BNRRN builds upon the work of its predecessor the Black Regeneration Forum funded through Single Regeneration Budget. The Black Regeneration Forum (BRF) was established to increase the active involvement and participation of black and minority ethnic communities in regeneration initiatives across London.

BNRRN is about finding solutions to social exclusion and disintegration and will look to work with private sector, public and third sector partners in stimulating cohesion, entrepreneurship, economic development and neighbourhood renewal in BME communities.

BNRRN is a powerful voice for the BME community it serves. Our vision is one shared by Joe Montgomery, Director General of the Government’s Neighbourhood Renewal Unit who at the launch of the network said: ‘our job is to unleash the extraordinary potential of ordinary people.
