We’re committed to promoting sustainable development. As part of this commitment we have set ourselves the target of 100 BNRRN member organisations signing up to the Every Action Counts (EAC) website and 20 Community Champions.
BNRRN can help to raise awareness of sustainable development within your organisation and help to think of ways in which your organisation can be made more sustainable.
We can put you in touch with other key environmental organisations within the voluntary and community sector.
Register on the EAC website and have the opportunity to train as a ‘Community Champion’
We also want to work more directly with six organisations on the issue of sustainability. We require for organisations who want to be involved to have registered on the EAC website and aim towards implementing sustainability within their own organisation. For the six organisations selected we will be providing £500 to help promote and inform their community on sustainability issues and towards setting up a related project of your choosing based around the 5 EAC themes (save energy, travel wisely, shop ethically, save our resources, care for your area).
To put your organisation forward to be involved in this project, register on the ‘Every Action Counts’ website and CLICK HERE to access an application form. We want to hear about your project ideas for your area and how it will benefit your members for example it could include organising visits to a conservation park, improving a local green space or even finding/obtaining an allotment space in your area for your members to use, as long as it’s realistic, achievable and something your members are passionate about!
