BNRRN have been identified as a key partner in the Mayors 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games plans. The role for BNRRN focuses on improving links between the volunteer sector and BMER organisations. The Mayors 2012 Games plans have recently been released and will be out for consultation until September the 29th.
BNRRN have been working closely with the London Civic Forum 2012 project. The London Civic Forum 2012 project is working to build the links between the Olympic stakeholders and the voluntary and community sector, the project is in partnership with London Voluntary Service Council and East London CVS network. Miriam Haywood, Project Co-ordinator of the London Civic Forum said “The Mayor’s Olympic objectives are ambitious plans. It shows the strength of BNRRN that they are one of the few wider voluntary and community sector organisations to be named in the Mayor’s plans”.
The London Civic Forum 2012 project is holding an event on October the 9th at the UCU conference centre to help organisations respond to the Mayor’s Olympic and Paralympic Games objectives.
